The Power of Touch

It influences emotion and decision making, and as such, establishing this sense as critical to any brand experience. At Julin Printing’s last paper show, we were fortunate to be joined by Jim Goetz from Sappi North America. He gave an enlightening presentation on Haptics- the Science of Touch. Sappi collaborated with a renowned neuroscientist to study how touch influences our perception and how we can use it to engage our customers. While I think we are all aware how touch can influence our perceptions (a thick business card vs. a flimsy one, a warm hand shake vs. a cold clammy one), Sappi uses science to explain the power of touch!
