All good things must come to an end.  And 2018 was a great year!  As we prepare to ring in 2019, we reflect on
the past year.

Most significantly, John Williams retired from Julin Printing after nearly 48 years with the company!  After spending his earliest days at Julin in production, John moved into sales and prospered.  His role with the company grew as he moved into management at both Julin and it’s (at one time) parent company William C. Brown Publishing until he solely purchased Julin Printing in 1995.  During John’s time at Julin he enjoyed Julin’s most prosperous times and endured it’s most difficult.  John retired leaving us a strong, successful company as well as 48 years of wisdom and industry knowledge!

In January, John’s daughter, Shannon Lambert, purchased Julin Printing and assumed the role of Owner and CEO.   Shannon had been General Manager for several years, so it was an easy transition for Julin!

Of course, it is nice to have a close relationship with the previous owner so Julin has a prime consultant if needed!

Early in the year, Julin received its Women Owned Certification from the WBENC.  We believe being part of the WBENC network will provide visibility and new business opportunities with corporations that value diversity in their supply chains.

Julin continued to grow in 2018 with a few equipment purchases to keep up with the demands of our customers.  Having added two new building additions since moving in 2013 and the addition of some major equipment in 2017, we have continued to enhance our existing capabilities and production. We are already eyeing a few new major purchases in 2019…stay tuned for more on that!

In August we made an exciting addition to our office staff and welcomed Linda Fransen as our Sale Support Manager. Linda is already proving to be instrumental in supporting sales staff and facilitating sales growth. Her extensive background in sales has brought experience and energy to our team!

We are looking forward to continued success in 2019 and wish you and yours a happy and prosperous New Year!
